Hi everyone, I'll be back later this evening with another post and the bit of news I hinted at yesterday (yes, 2 posts in a day!! very unlike me, he he) but in the meantime I'm here with a new DT card for Dream Valley Challenges, which this fortnight has the theme of Distressing. We have 2 sponsors again this week: One Stop Card Crafts who are giving away a £10 gift certificate for their store, and Digi Doodles who are giving a $10 gift certificate for theirs, so 2 lucky winners will receive prizes.
So here's my card, and it's one that I made for my lovely blogging friend, Joan of Stamping With A Passion, who lives in Texas in the US. We met through blogging, and wanted to exchange cards so I made this specially for her. I've added some distressing in the form of inking round the edges of the papers, and I also used my Tim Holtz distressing tool to scuff up those same edges. A little handstitching further helps define the edges, and some embellishments from my stash complete the card. I hope you like it.

Ya know, sweet Carole...when I opened your envelope and saw this gorgeous card, I was blown away!!!! Even my hubby commented on how beautiful it was, especially your fabulous coloring and hand stitching....you must have spent hours on this beauty!!!!! It sits on a shelf in my craft room where I can see it when I create...I'm hoping a little of your talent will magically transfer to my inky fingers...LOL!!!!
