Dream Valley Challenge #12 - Surprise!

Good Morning everyone, I hope everyone is well today. It's a new challenge at Dream Valley this weekend, and the theme is SURPRISE - we want you to incorporate a surprise into your project such as a hidden thing, a flap or a pop up. You can choose one of these surprises or a different one, it's up to you.

This is my DT card for this week, and I've used one of Digis With Attitude's images, called Goth Tween. She is coloured with Copics, and I also used my copics to colour some embellishments to match the colours in the image - the metal corner is coloured black, the ribbon is coloured blue-violet, the paper flowers are coloured yellow-green and blue-violet, as are the large half-pearls in the flower centres. I added a cross charm to match Goth Tween's earring - it came from my lovely crafting friend Joan, all the way from the US.  I added a sentiment from Digis With Attitude (I cut off part of it and just kept the one word) to finish it off.

Now for the surprise bit....it looks like a card, but when you open it up it's actually a wallet and contains some stamped images, so in fact it's a little gift.

Dream Valley Challenge #7: Something Old, Something New

Good afternoon all, I hope everyone is having a good weekend.  So, another challenge at Dream Valley, and this time the theme is

"DIG OUT THE OLD TO USE WITH THE NEW"

We want you to use something NEW from your stash plus some OLD stash too.  So that could be some new papers with an old stamp or even just some old stuff recycled with a new scrap layout! Easy!!

As always you can enter anything you like, doesn't have to just be a card: scrap layouts, jewellery, altered items, anything goes as long as it follows the theme.

Everything on my card is either brand new or old (and I mean YEARS old). The image is one from our sponsor, Digis With Attitude, which I've only just received - it's called Disco Tween. The sentiment is also from them, it was part of a prize I won recently and again the first time I've used it.  I also broke out 2 brand new copic markers on the trousers, BG72 and BG75. The paper is part of a DCVW mat stack that I've had for a few years - the stack is called All Dressed Up, which I thought suited the Disco image. All the other embellishments and the ribbon have also been knocking around my craft boxes for so long I'd forgotten I even had them. Even the card blank is an ancient one....I am trying to use up the packs of C6 card blanks I bought back when I was a baby cardmaker.
